Indian passport holders are allowed to apply for a VOA for a stay period not exceeding 15 days. The designated entry points in Thailand issue VOA to Indian visitors based on various factors. The application fee (which is 2000 Baht) is exempted till April 2020.
What is required?
- Photo as per Thailand visa
- Application form is available at airport
- Emigration form is available at airport
- Return flight ticket not more than 15 days
- Hotel reservation
- Application fee which is 2000 Baht is currently exempted till April 2020.
If you have all the above then the authorities will not ask any questions. If they ask then you can say, I am here as tourists.
There are 3 ways to get into visa queue
- If you are in group then there is separate queue which moves faster.
- If you pay 200 Baht then individuals can move into fast lane. If you decide to go with this options then make sure you have 200 baht in cash. They don’t accept cards or any other currency. Before on arrival visa section there are no ATM’s, only currency conversion counters are available. The ATM‘s are available after emigration check is done. So it is better you carry 200 baht in cash if you opt this.
- If you alone or couples and don’t want to pay 200 Baht then the queue is longer. My experience it took 2 hrs to get visa.
